Is on hold for 2025.

With 4 Central Fed teams in the Women's Central League this year that left only 4 teams in the Central Federation Women's Federation League, which was not viable.

Those 4 teams playing the in Championships in the Tier below this season. To be reassessed for 2026 after input from NZF.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

With this league not running this season, does the Capital Premier winner gain automatic promotion to the WCL? Or will the winner of another Central Fed league contest the playoffs?

New Plymouth Rangers joined the Manawatu league for the season and won it.
I believe that if they want to they can challenge the Cap Prem team who could be either Te Kotahitanga or Seatoun (Wellington United could still win the league but can't go up as they are a reserve side) with the winner going up

League is back for 2026, only 5 teams in the league after a few drop outs but still some exciting matchups to come this season. Napier City Rovers women have recruited well with a few from Taradale CL and New Plymouth Rangers continuing to impress with their women's team after a few very competitive years. I'll be surprised if Rovers are in the league next year, surely promotion has to be the goal for this team.

Hopefully the league grows by a few more teams next year. Unfortunately looks like Palmerston North Marist wil get relegated from CL this year but still very early in the season. Taradale don't look exceptional this year as well.

In terms of teams potentially joining from lower leagues, the HB championship looks very even this year, so will have to see if one team impresses or not. Palmy Championship doesn't look very impressive either. All it takes is a decent off season and some drive from the club to turn a team into challengers.
