So very early on who is favourites to win the title and favourites to get relegated. Here is my early stab:

1=Miramar 2=Napier 3=Wairarapa 4=Olympic 5=Upper Hutt 6=Wests 7=Lower Hutt 8=Petone 9=Tawa 10=Wellington United

Not True.

Higgins started at Upper Hutt than to Stop Out than to Lower Hutt when about 15

Shrijvers started out at Petone than moved to Lower Hutt.

A dog with a bone :)

Checked this out -Schrijvers was at Petone  then switched to Lower Hutt at age 8yrs. Don't think we can claim him as a Petone boy 11 - 12 yrs later!!

Pedant :)  Three  jnr All Whites squad members started with Lower Hutt FC club together as babes, (the other at 15).  I reckon that's worth putting a ring around.  Birko and Lower Hutt:  two clubs with very strong and successful youth development philosophies.  Big ups etc.

(Senor Schrivers would never let Petone claim role in his development for sure!!!:) )

Chile is the new Fiji

With the banter about LH kids in u20s - are any of them actually destined for pro footy? I assume Basalaj is.

Surely he's in the Auckland City squad for the ASB Prem semis?

Yeah would have thought so, just see the comment above mine...Although I did hear a rumour he is back in Wellington for the Winter.

I heard that he might be back for TeeDubs next season, so if true it would make sense if he was playing winter football here.

Rapa get out the chequebook?

 Heard upper Hutt are chasing him

Permalink Permalink

Wow, they would be strong up front with Corrales and him.

Ive heard he's going to be at rapa, stupid money apparently. Watched them play united yesterday and i think the final score was 4-2 to welly. Rapa obviously didnt have matt borren in goal because the terrible keeper gave away at least 2 of the goals. That score doesnt really reflect the quality of each team but welly united are looking much better than last year. As expected G has brought in a host of new players
