I don't think people fault Olympic for their success, but I disagree with it being very professional. Sure they may not be drinkers and smokers but they seem to be the team that swears, argues and gets all the cards. The supporters on the sideline don't seem to be much better either. Sure each club has one or two players and supporters that makes the club look bad but Olympic seem to have that at every level of team that plays for the club.
It is good to see you have set your sights on being a leading NZ club and driving youth opportunities though so I credit you for that.
The Capital Football misconduct page has 4 teams: Upper Hutt, Petone, Wairarapa & Carterton with people serving suspensions for "offensive, insulting, abusive language and/or gestures at a match official" & several clubs seem well represented in the yellow cards table.
I presume some earlier season misdemenaours (from any club) will have been served so not on the current web page ? but I think its a blinkered view in saying Olympic seem to have it at every level of team.
Ok, so the top part only shows the current ones and doesn't show people that have already served their suspension but from my comment I wasn't meaning swearing as directed at the referee and getting the four game stand down.
But your comment about cards made me have a good look at the list (Take into account no players show who have finished the season with less than 3 yellow cards so it is missing that data) however Olympic lead the list for most yellow cards and most players who got yellow carded. Only bit they don't win is yellow cards per person which goes to Stop Out, followed by North Wellington then Olympic.
So when Olympic has 26 more yellows than the next nearest team (Lower Hutt) and 4 more players than the next nearest team (Lower Hutt) I would think that the data backs up my original comment.
