Is anyone doing a Central League round review? The reason why I ask is because looking at the result, 2 things surprise me

1: Taranaki drew??
2: Wests got hammered??

Granted that missing NZFC players may affect both those games but does anyone have reports about the games on that league or where to find them?

Park Life should be out later today... our reporters have been collating data (and purchasing Flippers in case they are playing at Karori Park this week).

Not that much to add really... the result says everything that needs to be said

this is not a dig at the Greeks but would they have beaten a full strength Wests side?

we probably won't know the answer till later in the season, but surely even the Cantab-like Olympic supporters would see that Wests were severely under-strength? Yes indeed bask in the glory (hell who wouldnt?!) but can a seasons prospects be gauged from 1 performance? And yes I would say the same for Lower Hutt as Stop Out are very poor.

Yes I agree with you, however the same thing has happended time and time again for Olympic as well, where up to 5 players used to be involved in TWN a couple of years ago...and yes I agree that 1 game does tell the full story, but let's just take one day at the time....Just to remind you that Olympic actually has a rather good record playing at Wests...
Its a long season and a lot of things can happen, like I said one game at the time...!!!!

I don't remember losing to Olympic at home that many times in my days with wests (a career highlight would be the win @ Porirua Park when C.Fennemore and J.Musgrove got sent) Bossman......but yes in agreement with everything you said. Top man.

Was too busy taking in the grand city of melbourne to see any of this weeks games, so no essay from me.

As for Olympic v Wests, i think everyone was aware they were below full strength. Would of been hard to call if both teams were at their best. Never doubt my boys tho.
