Olympic 3 - 1 over Wests.
Olympic always clearly the dominant team with Wests at times stringing passes together but didnt look that dangerous.
Goals: OG, Hisham and Jimmy (deflected free kick).

Top players this season for us: Miki Malivuk and Hisham...But everyone to be honest has been playing well.

who this?

Louis Fenton looked lively going forward and Brazilian import Gerson Shatkoski was a constant threat. But too often the last pass went astray, much to coach Richie Martin's frustration.

Think they might play Cap Prem because it's two rounds behind.  But yeah, below that all looking unlikely.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Match report?

Average game. Was pretty sloppy so i f**ked off after 55mins, was 1-0 Tawa at that stage but Tawa really shouldve had at least a couple more going into the break. I really dont know whats happened to Wests this season. The team they fielded today just wasnt up to standard. Too many fundamental errors being made for this level off football. I didnt think Tawa played all that well either, but looks as though in the end they managed to do enough.

Other things I took note of:
The ground was in excellant condition considering the weather, so no excuses can be made there.
And Tawa fans are f**king annoying. Whine, bitch, cry. All day.

sounds like Man Utd fans, sounds like liverpool fans, sounds like miramar fans, sounds like wests fans....in fact, sounds like all football fans. we all bitch and moan, and get behind our team.

build a bridge and get over it. at least the tawa lads are down there in the rain and supporting their team. If it puts off the other team, and gets under their skin, even better!!!!

who do you support. I will go to their game next week and if I hear any complaints from your teams fans, I will report back that they are a bunch of moaners.....

I don't mind a bit of banter and expect fans to be angry at the refs decisions, but just the shriek that comes from the tawa fans makes my ears bleed.

This was evident in our Chatham Cup clash.

Im probably the first to moan when a call goes the other teams way, but from what I remember, these guys were yelling at everything, from kickoff to the final whistle!

Some of them didn't really seem like they knew what was going on.

haha nah man i didnt blame anyone. Mr. Romijn is a fantastic coach, hes had nothing short of success with pretty much every team hes been involved with. Honestly, i just didnt want to play in that team. Its no secret that i didnt exactly get along with the other guys from my year who were already at that time established in the squad. Graham Street wanted me to at least play in one pre-season warm up game/trial/whatever, as he was my rep manager from the season before. So i went along to that one session only, knowing he would be there. Otherwise i would never have bothered. I played socially between the Tawa Coll 2nds and for a mates BNU social side, and the odd game for their reserves also.
Then after school I went off to Cap Prem, remembering at that time it was 2nd tier to the national league. Funny how things panned out there isnt it? If i wasnt that good  7 years ago by your standard, then thats fine. I dont even know who you are

Like I said, i'm the first to complain, and naturally like all clubs, anger and frustration is a part of the game. Like most of the bags on Olympic here, most of them are based on this huge stereotype that over the years has continued to grow, like most of the sh*t on here about us has, regardless of results, and efforts to improve this.

But just the type of complaints from the Tawa supporters differs from the Olympic supporters.

I was listening to some of the calls and complaints coming from the Tawa supporters and I couldn't help but thinking, what game are these guys watching? Do they know this is a football game and not tiddlywinks?

I can see how you misinterpreted what i said, i could've worded it better.
I should've said: I can understand being frustrated when youre losing, but because Tawa weren't losing, i didnt see much yesterday to complain about. AJ132010-05-30 13:18:16

Yep. We're all guilty of this. But there were comments from some  people yesterday that were just strange. Almost as though they came down just to talk crap on the refs, or the opposition, and not watch the football. But like i said, Tawa were always in the game and looked fairly comfortable. I couldnt find a reason to complain about anything.

look foward to "winging"  by plane or bird to newtown park next year if you can get back up.

Uncle Steve, now you are having a laugh. Having played for Olympic for the 2nds for about 5 years (which meant i watched a LOT of first team games) Olympic fans are just as passionate, and let me tell you, just as loud.

Times have changed big boy.

What i meant by this was, the type of complaints were excessive. Every 2 seconds. Hey ref he didn't take the throw in from where it went out, Hey ref the balls moving, hey line-o keep up with play, hey ref his socks aren't regulation, hey ref he just shoulder barged our player, hey ref, hey ref.

Yeah alright, once every now and then send some abuse their way, but not every three seconds.

Its not a big deal, so i could care less, but i thought it warranted a rant.
