Bit close

1 - 1 after normal time and extra time

4 - 3 to NCR on penalties

Well done Bill and boys - great result on the road (again)

Well done to Bill Robertson - who subbed himself off - super player coach - and NCR for making the Final. Central League Represent.

To be fair i thought Birko played better but just couldn't convert their dominance into goals - Napier didn't seem to threaten to much other than bits and pieces here and there.

Birko lost a player to injury early which wouldn't have helped and Jack wasn't playing - i dunno if Napier were missing anyone.

As a neutral fan a great afternoons entertainment despite the weather. Good croud - well over 1000.

Very even game , but thought Napier slightly the better side , given they had a gilt edged chance to make it 2-0.

However given Napier's dominance of the Central League this season was a bit dissappointed with them - very much Route 1 , and their strikers that had been scoring for fun in the CL were a bit ordinary. Found it ironic that probably the worst player on the pitch (Hoyle ?) scored the winning penalty in the shoot out !

Ethan Galbraith had a an interesting afternoon - subbed on , booked , scored , booked again and sent off. Pretty dumb when you've been booked to go sliding in on the keeper with studs up.

Birko certainly did their fans proud - a bit trite , but you often have to lose a semi final to know how to win one.

Napier scrape by against Birko - they are going to struggle against england suburbs.

ES to take it out easily.

I highly doubt it'll be a walk over for ES.

scored then booked.

Anyway with the second yellow i'm pretty sure he was trying to pull out - didn't actually catch the keeper with studs (but did make contact) nonetheless a poor decision to slide in.

I submit the following evidence,

But pretty much any time you hit a keeper late, you are going to get at least a yellow. If you are on one, then sliding in on a keeper, knowing you are on a yellow, is dumber still cause that shows you don't have the brains to think ahead.

heplful - if you read what I was saying it was about the Studs up claim - it's clearly not studs up but clearly still a foul.

how many English imports do suburbs have? how many are they allowed to play? Rovers had 4 starting in the semi, plus bill who came off the bench, but i supose he would not be considered an import now,

There is no limit on foreign players now.  The guest player rule has been removed so as long as they are all transferred correctly then there are no issues.
