Asked Fox { Ref Assessor ? } pen was for a clumsy tackle , seemed pretty sure about it
Check out the pictures here, see what you think
I thought Robertson was hard done by but I did mention that above. It was like two players who both hit the ball at the same time so I struggled to see how it was a penalty...
never a pen - Napier were hopeless though, long ball stuff all day from Bill Robertson and the left back who muffed almost every set piece as well. Chris Greatholder was really bad - don't know how he lasted as long as he did.
Right result - shame it played out the way it did as Central deserved to win without any contraversy.
In the after match speeches Robertson said he didn't think much of the refereeing but that there was no way he begrudged Central their win.
The look of those photos would suggest he won the ball?
Hard to tell from still shots. All I would say is that it can still be a foul if you win the ball.

NCR had every right to be disappointed with that decision for the first goal, not only was it a good tackle....but there were also 2 balls on the pitch during the build up to the penalty! PISS POOR refereeing by Campbell Kirk-Waugh. Not sure about the 2nd though, bit hard to see if it was handball or not
The pen looks well dodgy. Robertson can probably argue his case well there. The two balls make no difference to the game at all.
2nd goal looks good
Yeah definitely not a penalty at all, he was right there and didn't have his view blocked...he must've been on crack or something I reckon. And yeah you're right about the 2 balls, didn't seem to interfere with play so I suppose there was no need to stop the game at that point
Where I was watching, from the clubrooms I had an excellent view of the lead up to the penalty my instant reaction was that the referee screwed up big time that being said Central were the better team on the day and deserve to be in the final.
Tade to be flown back for the final

Hope he knows where its going to be held.
Over a week later and no word on where and when Final to be played..................never!
Ummm ...its the 7th sunday ....no venue as yet ...I tink ...
Word on the street is Auckland for sure. Presume they're negotiating over Kiwitea Street vs neutral venue.
Sadface.
Not surprising though I spose.
Didn't NZF negotiate with NHS about their games being there for 4-5 years or something like that?
Either way, I would suggest that if NZF were wanting to get TV coverage, it might be easier for them if it was at NHS and if there was a North Harbour game on the Saturday, it would require less set up time thus keeping costs down. (without checking the NPC draw)

Lots of things are different at NZF, but nothing changes
probably takes sometime to sort out how/if it will broadcasted.
Announcement today.
They just got to clear with the Phoenix first to see where they want it played

Second season in a row my local side Cashmere Tech are in the Final - their ground at Garrick Park is a 12 minute cycle ride from my house.
Watch for former All White Ceri Evans' son Oscar, aged 18, at right-back and top-scorer Ash Wellbourne (most misspelled name in Christchurch football) up front.
Tech's season in a nutshell:
"Cashmere Technical continued their strong form from the 2013 season. Cashmere were unbeaten for the first 10 games until an 11th round 1-0 defeat to Nelson Suburbs on 31 May. This was Cashmere's first defeat since 1 June 2013. Previously, it had taken their tenth game of the season for them to concede a goal in the league with a 4-3 win over University of Canterbury. It was a victory over that same team (this time the score was 1-0) which secured Tech their second straight title, with 2 games to spare. For Cashmere, it was another successful season with finals appearances in the South Island Championship, and Chatham Cup for the second year in a row, as well as the English Cup [knockout cup for Canterbury sides]."

Sadly Oscar is out for the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder last Saturday against Western.
Who is going to the Chatham Cup Final at North Harbour Stadium this Sunday?
I'll be there.
Yeah I'll pop out and have a nose. Should be a decent match.
Sounds like Central might be down to their third choice keeper. Sail over with U20 and I think Spoonley is on holiday overseas.

Blaz Bugarin. Ex-Croatian youth international.
Will be there!!
