Does anyone know when the next round is drawn?

It has tended to be the second working day after the previous round.  I guess it gives them a day to get into the office and print what needs to be printed.

Always interesting to see what NZF gets right or wrong in the draw structure.

In the Northern region, 14 teams have byes, the 12 Northern League sides plus two NRFL Champ sides (Onehunga-Mangere and Waiheke).  There should have been two extra preliminary round games so that only the 12 Northern League sides received byes to Round 2.

In the Central region, the 9 Central League sides have byes to R2, thus the Prelim and R1 games have served to whittle the other 23 sides down to 7. (7+9 = 16 sides in R2).

In Mainland region, there are 16 teams remaining after 4 preliminary round games.  4 in Nelson, 12 in Canterbury so no byes needed, and no doubt that draw will become open in R2 or R3.

In Southern region, there are 12 teams remaining after 1 preliminary round game so 4 byes needed, fortunately the two Southern League sides (Dunedin City Royals and Green Island) were among those that received the bye, hopefully that was deliberate.  They could have avoided the single preliminary round game and only needed 3 byes in R1 .

In summary, don't know what logic they are using in the North.  Last year 13 teams had the bye to R2, this year 14.  It should be 12 and adjust number of preliminary games accordingly.

You have to worry about the level down from south island league. Parklands are second in the premiership and looked like deer in the headlights last night. What made it worse was most of the second half they were playing 7 or 8 under 20 players who don't normally start for the top side.

The best 7 Christchurch teams are in the Southern League. Parklands are the second best of the next lot, so 9th best team in Christchurch. Not to mention they've overperformed to even get to 2nd place, and may not stay that high. Chch United are a pretty mean outfit at home and can really put up a score when they want to, wouldn't read into it an awful lot.

Waitemata 3 v Hibiscus Coast 2 at Stanmore Bay
Guess it is an upset but Waitemata the better side
Coast didn;t help themselves by resting a number of players , particularly the goal keeper
Coast were 2-0 up at half time (Mayes and Martin) but that was flattering. Waitemata were justifiably aggrieved at Coasts second goal as one of their players was down in the box with a head injury.Game was delayed quite a while whilst he came to his senses.
Coast did he the bar 3 or 4 times in the second half but Waitemata were really dominate. You felt if they got one back , they would get an equaliser and once they got an equaliser then there would be on;y one winner.Winning goal came in last couple of minutes
Coast had an equaliser correctly disallowed in the last minute for a push at a corner
HBC goalkeeper being rested a significant contributor to the result which might seem unkind
Thankfully the ice cream truck made an appearance for the first time this season

Hmmm, a bit unfair I would think. A local team with loyal players vs the money team in CHCH who actively take the best players from other teams, get players from the north island and even overseas. CUFC have let in 2 goals all season in the top southern league, started their main team and added a few youngsters at the end - definitely not 7 or 8

I know NZF get a lot of shark that is subjective - but what can't be argued is there complete lack of care re the Chatham Cup and Kate Sheppard cup - it's midday on Monday and not a single tweet, post or article about results or when the draw is and they don't seem to understand about answering DM's or posts re the above.

Granted the 100 years of Chatham Cup stories is a good piece but why do that so well and then just ignore the basics?

EDIT - It's now 4pm and I don't think I have seen an update on results for the Chatham Cup or Kate Sheppard Cup yet....

I know it's not NZF, however Mainland posted a write-up of the South Island games on their website about lunchtime today. You can find that here.

so as I know these kids I did my research. 4 started the game, 1 on debut and 1 in his second start, 4 came on as reserves and played 37 minutes minimum,. Of these 8 all have triple the minutes than first team played this season in reserves.

 I stand by the comment.

yeah they posted it on twitter as well - at about 5pm.

It's an immensely underwhelming update for what is essentially the centenary of the Chatham Cup and of course an important year in Women's Football for the Kate Sheppard Cup - but yes at least we now know it's 1pm tomorrow.   That's good.

In the United squad for the Cup game there were 8 U20 players.
Four of those started - Watts, King, Debenham and Meyn and at one stage all eight were on the park in the second half between the 59th and 68th minutes after Cole, Cheo, Molnar and Prathumphthak had been subbed on, and in the 68th minutes Debenham was subbed off for Philip so between the 69th and the final whistle there were 7 U20 players on for United, so Roy is correct.

Papakura fielded an ineligible player - probably got caught by the 10 business days rule.

cheers, but really goes back to your point about their promotion, or lack of, of the Chatham Cup. Especially in its 100th year
in the past they would have issued a statement not just a footnote on the draw which was easy to miss

Rewa went down 1-0 to Eastern Suburbs.

Rewa had the better 1st half, Monty missed a couple of good chances.

Eastern Suburbs better team in the 2nd Half, 1-0 up in the 86th minute.

Rewa pushed forward looking for an equaliser, few half chances, best was when
Monty crossed and I believe it was James Hoyt hit the crossbar with his header.
