What a compete crock of sh1t. Wellington is the home of football in NZ. We have the best clubs, teams and supporters. We even produce most of the best talent (agruable point but my opinion)We've shown this time and time again. When will Football NZ wake up and shell the sh*t that is stuck on there feet from being in Auckland.

Its no longer a problem.

Did I read it right, there will be no TV coverage of the final.

If its being held at Kiwitea St thats a huge advantage for Central. I wonder if they will let any Wests fans squeeze into their stand?

if there is anyone from auckland reading this, could u confirm the playing surface of kiwitea? usually the field is in top form from memory? be hard for wests if they go thru to play central in their own backyard but stranger things have happened... toffeeman, couldnt agree more with your straight shooting comments. think they're scared the phoenix will succeed where their past efforts (Kingz/Knights) failed.

... we're not auckland anymore ...

God save us if Allen Hill hosts the final.

Three for me, and two for them.

It's a total crock of sh1t

Since Wests won it last year and they're still in it why not give them the final.
Sounds like a plot to give an Auckland team the best chance of winning it so that they don't lose everything to Welly.

but imagine wests (or whoever) beating central at kiwitea st? would that not be the final nail in the coffin for the "believers" in the City of Ponce?

Unfortunatly we will have to imagine it as Im not likely to go to Auckland for the game and there is no TV coverage. Is that a way of Aucklanders hiding another loss.

Its no longer a problem.

Give it a rest you morons.

Playing the final in the home town of one of the finalists is a good idea and at least means there's a chance of the final being played in Wellington in the future.

It's just a fluke that the two Auckland teams got drawn together in the semis and their semi came out of the hat for the final. It could just have easily been a Dunedin/Wellington final.

Last time I went to Kiwitea Street, last NZFC season, the pitch looked pretty good. If Wests get to the final against Central I'll be travelling into the heart of JAFA country to support them. Be well funny to see Central take a Cup Final beating at their own midden Auckland Jag2007-08-03 15:37:02

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

The surface at Kiwitea Street is in good nick. I was there for the Quarter and Semi. Its just small.

FYI for all the conspiracy theorists out there, it was Tery Maddaford from the NZ Herald who pulled the name from the hat. I'd say thats transparent enough (this time) for me.

On the off chance Shore get through, Allan Hill is very boggy right now.
I can't get to Kiwitea Street tomorrow (work). Can someone post a fan's eye view of the match. Cheers.

How can you decide something once a tournament starts, when were the clubs advised that the final would be at the ground of one of the semi final winners. I can assure you it was not at the begining.

Yet again administrators cock it up, this lot are lower than a cockroach.

Best clubs? Haha. Wests were outplayed last season and were lucky to win. Dont inflate you own egos

Thats what the losers from Eastern thought. Their fans turned up so arrogant they thought they would easily win but Jimmy Cudd played them off the park and Wests bought he cup home. Easts were lucky it went to pens. I'm not sure what I enjoyed the best from that day, the looks on the Easts fans faces as they lost or the Knights getting their first home win.

Knights getting their win. I was supporting Wests as I dont really like Easts all that much, but Easts were the better side.

Kiwitea is the best club surface in Auckland. I wonder if Allen Hill is not up to scratch and Shore win - will they move it and where too? Outer oval at NHS?

So did I hear right Central win 3-1
Anyone want to predict Wests vs Cavers?

Maybe Cavers at home but would be great for Wests to go for back to back wins...
