I had the pleasure of getting to know Dave during his time at TW. He was a gentleman, a straight talker, and a man who knew local football inside out. He will really be missed. Our thoughts are with his family.

I was very sad when I heard the news of Dave Farrington passing away.

He is a down to earth straight shooting caring guy. He was amazing to me in my short time at Miramar but remained someone that I always spoke to at great length about Football when I saw him. He was a true gentleman and great sport, wether on the winning or losing side (which didn't happen often when he was at the helm!).

I appreciated everything he did for me personally and for the game in the Wellington region.

 A true LOCAL LEGEND :-)

Far too short a time with us, but his contribution will live long for many.  My thoughts go out to Jamie and the rest of his family.

Dave Farrington was a tremendous football man.
He played full back for his beloved Miramar for many seasons always giving a 100 %
When he turned to coaching he was enthusiastic, open minded and eager to learn and became a member of the golden coaching era in nz from the early 80,s to mid 90,s and was probably the outstanding kiwi born coach of the last 25 years.
Dave was the first Kiwi born Coach to earn the English Full Badge Coaching Award the equivalent (but harder to achieve) of the Uefa A.
He bravely fought his illness with the same enthusiasm he attacked every thing in life.
My thoughts are with his family.but rest assured everytime a ball is kicked in competition by a Miramar Rangers or Wellington player Dave will be there in spirit willing them to greater heights
