Football Club Futsal! (NZ)

March 11, 2009

With the winter approaching and the wet weather cutting down your practice nights we offer your players an indoor venue to play in a competitive Futsal league between other Wellington Football clubs.

Capital City Futsal is a trust based organisation that is affiliated to Futsal N.Z. This means all players who play in our leagues have the opportunity to compete in Regional and National competitions. The next Nationals competition will be held at the T.S.B Arena on the 7th and 8th of November 2009, hosted by Capital City Futsal.

Remember the benefits of playing Futsal, individual close ball skills developed through increased touches, being constantly forced to make quick decisions developes speed of thought and quick reflexes. Essentially Futsal is a 5-aside game that has been designed to provide a high paced, energetic, fast flowing game for spectator and its the only other form of FIFA accredited football!.

Players will get to play in an organised competitive league once a week no matter what the weather. Silverware is up for grabs for your clubs Trophy cabinet.

All Clubs go into the draw to win a $400.00 bar tab or cash for their end of season prize giving. Clubs with 3 or more teams in the leagues will be entitled to discounted subs at $35 per game.

This offer is for adults only. We do have a youth Futsal league that runs during the school term on Tuesdays should you have any teams interested.

Venue: Chinese Cultural Sports Center in Newtown above the National Hockey Stadium.

Cost: $42 per game.

When: Thursdays starting from 2 April between 6-9.30pm.

Interested?, contact us to register teams from your club as soon as possible.

Please forward this on to all your team Captains and/or managers.

Good venue.  Chinese Cultural Centre is a good surface.

But "trust based organisation"?

This is what makes my "laff" about football in NZ, the minute someone tries to do something positive ( different coaching methods to improve the standard of players) there is always someone gleefully ready to pour cold water on the idea.

Why did your reponse to this forum differ to the one sent to my email address with the fully text? "Ya havin a laff".

I don't see him pouring cold water on what you do, merely suggesting the claim that it is 'trust-based' isn't accurate.

I hear what you are saying Hard News. Let's leave the legal stuff to the lawyers! and let the football do the taliking. Cheers
