Franklin United now looking for a Technical Director. Paid, full time gig, car thrown in as well from what I gather.
Franklin United – Want to play the long game….?
No, neither do we… but when it comes to the development of our Franklin community youth, we are in it for the long haul. And this is why Franklin United are creating a Youth Academy to start in 2018.
Our philosophy for Franklin United Youth Academy (FUYA!) is about development, not purely winning. We support the ‘Ole Way’ and our aim is to create players that can unlock complex football situations with intelligence and style while taking risks. Franklin United (FU) member club DUFC have been building on this approach with the South Auckland Elite Academy since 2013.
We are looking for a FU Technical Director (TD) to lead our newly created academy and continue the style we have adopted. It goes like this….
- All teams must play an attacking, attractive and entertaining brand of football.
- All teams must play fair.
- All teams must try to win the game, but not at the expense of steps 1 and 2.
Ultimately our aim is to produce players to play NRFL football as a stepping stone to brighter whiter things……!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
