This was part of a speech given today at a Football club clubrooms.
I won't mention what club it was but my comment after might give
you a clue.
"I think one of the reasons it wasn't the greatest of games was due to the conditions".
It was fine, sunny with no wind. Perhaps they don't have weather like that in Palmerston North.

It was that sort of day. The game itself was pretty dire. In the second half one of the players shouted at the ref "c'mon ref you're missing a good game".
