Have just been advised:

13 May 2010

Hi All,

This is a message from the WCC informing us that ALL grounds under the WCC control are closed today/tonight.  If you have teams that train tonight please make them aware they will need to make alterative arrangements.

Regards

I'd like to think the point is they would rather the damage happen from actual games rather than trainings.

Fuck this stupid game

We'd never train if their logic was that simple

Allegedly

Best to keep an ear out for closures and changes tomorrow, with the heavy rain last night and looks like more rain tonight.

it's 3 pm and the council still hasn't updated its website re: cancellations.

How and when are we going to know about it? They have to realize that we have to let 20+ people know about cancellations and it's hard enough starting at midday, let alone at 3pm!

Northern v ROvers game in Q-Town cancelled due to flooding somewhere in the Country. So Northern were unable to come through.

Can't be @rsed starting another thread, but would just like to note that i think the Capital Football website is vastly improved over last year.

Info on fixtures, results and cancellations is all up quickly and lets me pass on the info to my teams.  The info on the rationale for timing of cancellations was also good to refer the parents to.

Well done CF, keep it up!

Agree with Junior 82. Way better this year. Also love the cancellations/transfer in red and sometimes the updates on friday night.
