first round of games today

div b - Uni beat LH B 4-2 i think. Wharf beat Nui B 9-0.

Bubbles beat Wharf i Div A. I think it was 4-2. 12 players v 10. Bubs best was Abba who is genius, Mikey, and of course Jimmy who was amazing.

Mar beat Marist. Looked like barely Mar's reserve team and Marist looked very rough.

North Welly v Eastbourne was halted for 20 mins as an ambulance when a NW player dislocated his knee cap.  Looking pretty impressive from 30 yards away.

Great afternoon in the sun at Petone.  Spent 6 hours watching various games.

Completely fried myself.

Island Bay, Petone and miramar look like very young squads.

Na.  They seemed to find it amusing.  One of their players ran on and started to take photos.

Watched 3 games yesterday. Olympic looked very good or were Upper HUtt that bad? Also Wests had a very young team out, I wonder how much more player movement there will be before the start of the season?

Based on the early results you would say ISland Bay/ Ole are looking strong for Cap Prem

Yes it was, there was two early rounds for the two 5 team groups of division 2 scheduled earlier in the day as to avoid a clash with Wellington Phoenix.

Tawa drew 2-2 with Wests so Tawa beat Island Bay next week and will win the group. Should be interesting game.

I thought Wests won? I didn't see a second goal from Tawa only the one from Mike Raemaekers that went over the keepers head?

Interesting to see Wests new reserves coach Ron Veitch the same guy who resigned by email and walked out on his last club with 8 games to go in the season. Interesting chap that one is.
