Is it too offensive to ask if Blanket Man has been selected for the side?

Would you want to score a goal against him?

Nope, not offensive he is after all the most recognisable homeless person in the capital-maybe NZ.

Homeless world Cup Definition is: someone who:

Has been homeless at some point after 1.12.2007, in accordance with the national definition of homelessness or
Makes their main living income as street paper vendor or
are asylum seekers currently without positive asylum status or who were previously asylum seekers but obtained residency status after 1st December 2007 or
Are currently in drug or alcohol rehabilitation and have been homeless at some point in the past two years (post 01.12.2006)

(Source: http://www.homelessworldcup.org/content/tournament-rules)
So it is a more inclusive definition.

Scotland are current world number one!

Feverish is eligible then? Wharfies have been homeless without Karori Park all year, and I'm sure he had to go through detox after his Euro trip.

Seriously though, I remember seeing good reports about the tourny on the tv/internet after the last one so I hope it all goes well again.

Just saw program/highlights on ESPN from the homeless world cup in South Africa 2006....I think the program is called kicking it (www.kickingitthefilm.com)

Program is well worth a watch if it is replayed at any point... interestingly they reckon 1/3 of the people found jobs after playing in the HWC
