We're quite a physical side and once some gaps are filled should be fairly competative.

Translation : I hope you guys aren't anything like Birkenhead 1st XI.

Think of it as a chance to practice your English and grammar for school Jiz.  I'm sure you 10 year olds need the practice.

Happy to Help.

Please strengthen your team Dave57 cos you are embarrassing my great club. Just get 10 men behind the ball and play for 0-0 for fc's sake.

Karoris results have not been good simply because we've had a few problems with players and are currently looking at bringing some new ones in.

Any assistance would be appreciated. ie: if anyone knows anyone who might want to play and is up to the standard pass on my cell number (0273404365) or give me a pm.

Cheers.

Mate just go to your own school and get a group of guys together, whether they are friends or just guys mucking round with a soccer ball at lunchtime. They might come together well, they might not... you gotta have numbers before you start building a decent team. Don't aim for superstars they won't come to karori.

we've got ok numbers now but just at the stage of strengthening the squad so we're more competative

I remember a very good Karori side back in the day.....the likes of the Rogan boys, Trenberths and Dave Harrison - made up the nucleus of a very good (if underachieving) Wharfies team. Some fond memories of U19s for me include;

a) Jeff Campbell destroying my ankle
b) beating Central 1-0 in group play (only to lose 1-0 in injury time in the Semi)
c) Not getting sent off ever!

GREAT TIME!

Its a bit crap how players get told by their schools who they have to play for. I'm surprised they get away with it.

you should prob pay for a genius guest player from the South Island or non-attached Akld club to fly to Napier and play for a start

We'll borrow from the senior budget . The coaches are probly thinking more local. Just averagely good players so we're competative. We dont really need Zidanes.Dave572007-09-13 16:37:37

I think one of the groups for Upper Hutt Tourny is

Stop Out
Petone
Lower Hutt
Marist
Wests

Just what I heard through the grapevine

Any confirmations?

an you think NZF rig the chatham cup draw!

Say it Dave57. I to find it hard to believe the draw .

But lets face it how prepare will Upper Hutt be for Napier facing teams they have in their group.

Better to be in a tough groups like Group 3 and 4 as they are the ones that will prepare you for Napier.

Being involved with Stop Out I can only see the positives in being drawn in group 3 as we will face 3 quality teams + Red Soxs who are an unknown quantity .

I agee. Looking from a Karori perspective our Hutt group is great because it is ALOT harder than our napier group by the looks of it.
