Even before it got to penalties it felt like the game could’ve gone either way. United came back twice from behind and there were some near misses that had everyone holding their breath, so the players certainly did their club proud.

One weird anomaly I’ve never understood is that it’s our U18s who play in the WCL, with the Reserves (U20s effectively) playing in the U15 Mixed Capital Development League and the KSC until nationals kick in. There’s a bit of player mobility in both directions though, and we had a few U18 regulars in tonight’s squad even though it was mostly the Ressies.
