For the third time Southland has employed Kenny as there full time coach and coordinator.

The Southland team got wopped by Caversham 12-0 in the weekend. Without transferring my own thoughts I would like to know how Kenny went when he was in Wellington, beleive he was coaching Miramar?

Would appreciate some balanced thoughts.
Thanks

Used to coach Wests, then was at Wellington United before he moved to the Mar.

Definitely knows the game, nice bloke, maybe too nice sometimes.  Puts on a good session.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I saw his spirit team take on northern last season it was northerns best team for years so we (they) were by far the better team.

In that game the man himself kenny creswell payed either right wing or centre forward (can't remember) and he was spirits best player if not the best player from both teams.

On a side note the spl's got a lot of fromer greats still playing prem league in there old age. There's cresswell at spirit, old fmr aw mike mcgarry and fmr tech nat league player phil kelly.

And of course another fmr aw Andly Deely made a cameo fr caversham against northern in round one. The pace has left him but in the last minute of the game he curled in a shot from about18 yards to the right and 25 yards back away form  the goal

and a few others as well as terry phelan who doesn't play spl but does for oufc

Its a job for old men..

Kenny is the Southland Development Officer.. Job Description must be non existent as the guy hasn't developed Southland Football.
Two weeks ago they got done 12-0 by Cavvie, not really involved in developing juniors, and still playing (ego trip).

Third time they have employed him to do diddly squat.

My brother used to be southland goalie in the late 80's early nineties, when Kenny had one of his stints, never heard too many complaints at the time.
ps Old Boys for life :)

Funny isn't it.  If you talked to people in Wellington they'd probably say the opposite about Kenny.  Brilliant with the kids.  Did a good job as Capital Soccer's inaugural DoF before moving on.

Also amusing that dino10 came on here clearly trolling for Kenny bashers and found: none.

Good call Smithy,
The frustration of watching a Southland Team in the Southern League getting out classed is starting to turn me into a Troll. To make it worse is that he keeps playing himself.

They used to call him "the mute" when he was at Miramar. No one ever knew what he was doing or thinking as he never said a word.. Think they won the Nat league under him but behind the scenes was rather a shambles. Had a disastrous early exit to Wests in the Cup in which Ken nearly had a fight with one of his players at half time at porirua park.

Miramar were a different side in 2003 compared to the 2001-2002 outfit when Stu was coaching, I think they lost around 7-8 games in the regular season, still finished top, then lost the major semi, and Chatham cup tie versus Wests in the space of 3 days, before going on to win the league thanks to Rupert Ryan getting 3 in the final
