I mentioned a few weeks ago that the Hutt could be in relegation trouble??  Highly unlikely right?  Well sucessive league losses to the 2nd & 3rd bottom teams will not be ringing any bells at Bell Park...

I still do not think there is any serious chance of Hutt going down, simply because only the bottom team is relegated.  If it was the bottom two, welll....So Hutt are safe, and should be with the quality players.  But something stinks at Bell Road and it is not biscuits from the griffins factory...

A month ago, you had Stevie G and Churchie leaving, and a few ominous results, but they turned that around with a win over the Greeks. Only to lose to Taranaki the week later.  Some pride or logic was returned with the Cup win over Napier, but all that was thrown out with the bath water after Marist took all the points...

One thing is for sure, Hutt is ruining my virtual legaue picks!!!!

Lower Hutt are safe, they'll probably finish no higher than 5th which is spot, they seem to finish there each year, like Wests  LH I don't believe can win the Central League so will start to change players between CL and Premier teams to save their premiers from being relegated. This maybe to late for Wests.

They are oddly erratic though.

Got some great players although perhaps not enough of them to contend for the silverwear.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I believe LH's catch up games are against the Mar and Stop Out

park life reports ginger ninja on the bench.

so is this lower hutt under utilising a good player - or team wellington selection problems?

Under utilising a good player. Much like what Tawa Reserves are doing with you bobboltontawa2.

i agree that there should be 2 up and 2 down. however they should go back 2 a 8 team wellington division as the capitals compition has improved over the last 3 years.

Lower Hutt have good players but bad attitudes.fact

also have no team bonding, the club officials are great, they give the players everything to be a better team (new tracksuits, dinner after training, indoor facilities phisyo etc) but the players take and dont give back.

Lower Hutt is the best resourced club in the Central League.

Wests have a better training ground but are otherwise second in all regards to Lower Hutt.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Watson pretty much picks the starting line up for saturdays... Thats why they choke occasionly..
Lower hutt would have the biggest football club budget in the wellington region maybe one of the biggest in New Zealand and yet they still cant win the league.. Whats going on? All that free money from the pokie grants is going to waste..

Not going to waste.  They have great youth facilities.  Full time coaches that work in schools and with kids.  A (generally) quality home ground and facilities.  Etc etc.

As a Stop Out man you should be the first to acknowledge that first team performance isn't the best or only indicator of club quality or success.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

You still think Watson has a say in selection??  The club has it all right off the field and I think there has been a too much fat in the pan and everyone is a little comfortable over there. Comfort = complacency = arrogance...

They have that arrogance/belief that they will win, but they are not putting in the effort (on Saturdays at least) on the pitch...

They probably need to shake things up a bit, this same group of players has promised and not delivered over a number of seasons now.  They've got all the quality, they bring through plenty of good players, but their first team just lose matches they should win.  Maybe a bit of complacency, same group of players for too long thinking they can't win the league but knowing they're not going to go down

I could name 7 players from last weeks starting lineup that were'nt regulars in the Lower Hutt 1st team 2 years ago so you are way off the mark there.

Nightz... generally speaking Lower Hutt's Squad has remained pretty close to the same over the last 3 seasons...

I Think alot of lower hutts players are class but some clearly dont get on with each other and play well as a team on the pitch.. I think they shake things up enough each season as it is.. No point bringing in a whole new squad of players what would that acheive? Yes Watson still has a big say on team selection and players
Sorry smithy for making a incorrect statment.. It is not wasted.. You are right, they do wonders at lower hutt for the youth..

Sorry Reefside but you dont really have a clue and are only making wild guesses about Lower Hutt. If you read my previous post 7 changes is hardly "pretty close to the same", or maybe it is at Stop Out.
Try going to the Capital Football site, it lists the current 1st team squad. See if you can find more than 6 out of the 20 players listed there that were regulars in Lower Hutts 1st team 2 seasons ago.
