And the worst thing is I've been hassling the Press to post their football stories (that they put in the paper version) online. And they finally replace the horse-racing stories with this one. #winning

obviously you mistook the Press for a serious news outlet and not the trashy magazine it has become?

To Slushy thanks for the inspiration of our new drink, although it tastes bitter and never graced the fields of pubs. The lads appreciate it

Silver ones only come out when we celebrate things , they've been over used the last 4 years , so they are away  getting a wee make over . To be fair we wanted to use paper ones but never had any .

Yes we were suprised it tasted bitter

MPL has been stale for the last 4 or 5 seasons, why not 8 teams play 2 rounds (14 games) that determines league winner, then another competition whereby top 6 break away to play for Major Premiership (various permutations) + South Island League, importantly bottom 2 drop into Div 1 (various permutations) to fight for promotion. Current format has teams 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 sometimes 7 playing for nothing with 2 or 3 of games to go. Just putting it out there.

I can only speak for myself , that's why I put my name to it, no second guessing. don't know who the bishop is report him/her. Dont condone it or like the comment, just like the shark you spout about me and tech , don't condone it either but I bite back with facts

But your right I am very proud of my club and players , that's why I decided to post on here over a year ago,as I was sick of seeing you and your coastal mates, constantly slagging them us.Again as said above it must be because of your green eyes

Tsetso already has a UEFA A licence. Do these expire, become obsolete / have a 'best before' date?

Media Release From NZ Football.

Turnbull to drive player development

Tuesday 22 September, 2015

For immediate release

New Zealand Football announced on Tuesday the appointment of Gareth Turnbull to the position of High Performance Athlete Development Manager.

A newly-created role within the national body, Turnbull’s brief will be to implement and manage New Zealand Football’s Talent Acceleration Programme which aims identify and develop the country’s best young players towards the international arena.

Working in a role which will sit alongside his current position as coach of the New Zealand Women’s U-17 team, Turnbull will manage the programme which serves to strengthen New Zealand Football’s national sides through an enhanced player development structure implemented earlier in the playing career of the nation’s best young players.

New Zealand Football High Performance Director Fred de Jong said Turnbull is an excellent fit for the role.

“Gareth has been working in exactly this space for a number of years,” de Jong said.

“The experience he has accumulated in his various roles within the club and federation landscape, combined with his role as a national team coach, will help us shape the bridge which links players coming out of our thriving Whole of Football grassroots programme towards our age-group and senior international sides.”

“It will be his responsibility to ensure our best young players are given the development experience they need to reach their full potential at the highest level of the game.”

Based in Auckland, Turnbull began work in the new role earlier this month.

another men's squad named ,under 17, and again not one player in it that played his football in Christchurch. That I can see

I've been saying for a while, how do we as a Collective get more players in these squads. Of the last 10 years how many players are we getting in these male World Cup squads. The female side is doing well, and we seem to be fairly represented.

We have more than 10% of the population so surely we should have at least 2 per squad.

Well visibilty remains an issue.

Another is if certain federations demand FTC-NTC- NZ reps and then the side picked includes Academy/Private Provider players did our mob get a fair shake at it? This is important because Max, Tom, Byron, Jordan, Eddie, Levi, Radek, Paul, Matt want to make the next U17 maybe they don't want to be in Chch now?
