Always the upstanding human species from out Burwood, good to see nothing has changed!

My first club was Burwood, maybe that explains a few things.  My Dad told me when I asked him why I was in the 8th Grade E team why wasn't I higher up and he said it was because I was registered late.

Dad was always good and telling white lies.

What about Burwood having literally nothing against uni but to tackle uni players with the ball 50 yards away?

Justice is served.

We had a good run in the Chatham Cup. Winning at Bexley and English Park was nice.

Mainlanders, do your bit to save the Nix!

Here's a list of Christchurch lads aged 16,17,18 who mostly left around 13-15 years old and, as far as I know, are still chasing their footy dreams. I've included last known Chch club and where they are now (apologies if incorrect). I think if you asked them why they left, the answer would simply be that they're aiming higher than playing MPL/Dragons. As such, they need to invest more time in their footy than Tuesday/Thursday/pub; so they either a) were selected for or b) chose, full time football environments. In the football lifetimes of these kids, the Dragons/ASBP has been a stepping stone to nowhere much. Being a big fish in your own backyard is no guarantee of success in the wider world. Obviously its a lottery at whether any of these make it, but at least they are having a crack.

I couldn't help notice you forgot that Dean Gibson fellow who was scouted with Kieran and Ellis while in Valencia. Watched him play with Western reserves and made some bloody good saves. I think he is u-19 schoolboys as well.

Any transfer news for the coming season. I hear both Tim Dunn and Mike Willoughby will be missing from the Coastal team as both will be off-shore.

So with both Gareth Turnbull and Tim Dunn gone, they scored 22 of Coastal's 37 goals in 2015, signings in the wind maybe.

It seems like IFANZ has come out of the woodwork. They have now organised a partnership with Halswell and are sending down an IFANZ coach from Auckland next week who is looking to be the new first team coach. Why would anyone go near IFANZ after their track record? Are Halswell really that desperate/silly that they want to get into a partnership with these money grabbers? I wonder if all the parents got their money back from cancelled football trips/sessions..

Interesting. Unless things have changed recently, Halswell have a had a sports consultancy firm overseeing management and running of the club admin and finances for a few years now. I'm sure they would have gone through due process with a fine tooth comb. #2sidestoeverystory

Was trying to explain to a NZRFU Offical how December's Interfed works

He cannot understand how we can't have the best players in the same place at the same time.

Probably a good fit for both and may be the beginning of the end of the name Christchurch United as a club.

Weird having a link with both Uni and Utd. Could it be a 3 way mega club? Get in FC2011 and they're combining around a dozen!
