agreed with what your saying! Easy to win when have best players available so don't think it so much to do with coaching
Having the strongest squad on paper brings its own set of challenges for the coaching staff. I don't believe Bays and Cash Tech MPL title wins can be simply assigned as we have bought in these players at x $ and it's job done. It also could be seen as demeaning to those players/staff involved.
You may say its demeaning to the players and coaching staff, but its the plain and simple truth! You cannot tell me that the teams that have won the MPL title over the course of the past 5-6 years have done so due to the level of coaching! If so why do we not have a local coach as the head coach of Canterbury United in the recent past??? There obviously is no one capable locally, any Tom dick or harry could coach a side like bays or tech's winning sides. That may seem harsh but its fact
I disagree that it's the plain and simple truth. As depressing and frustrating as it is to see Coastal players leave due to us refusing to pay them whilst the league(s) are Amatuer (and yes it's happened again this offseason) the overriding reason we haven't won the MPL is we have not played at our highest level consistently enough. Throwing stones at Bay$ or Ca$h-Tech (think I got those old YF spellings correct) especially in a public forum is never going to bridge the gap.
Again I don't feel there is a demonstrably different level of coaching but certainly differing 'styles'. For instance I like L Padmore whose side is Div1 and K Monsef who isn't coaching MPL at all (Fulltime). But this preference of mine does not mean 'better' than J Brown or T Ivanov or whoever...
We don't have a local Dragons coach as no local coach applied for it. (Stand to be corrected on this IIRC YMMV etc)
