Disappointing to hear selwyn v bays div 1 game is off as bays can't field a team. More reason why bays and tech should not be in that league. Neither side offer the league anything. In a league that may come down to goal difference it will be interesting to see the outcome from mainland. Also is there any reason Hornby are playing at avonhead park against FC.

Wouldn't that be a massive disadvantage to Selwyn? The league being decided on goal difference is a very big possibility. Mainland have to make a statement here and remove Bays from the league and record either all games or the final round of matches as 3-0 losses. Absolutely pathetic how this can happen in what is basically a qualifying league. I bet Hurunui or Burwood would manage to field teams for all 21 games, they probably would perform better than both Turtles and Bays. Mainland are in a sticky situation here and i hope this doesn't have a part to play in terms of the promotion race. FC are the big winners out of this if it stays as 3-0
See my post which I have posted the Mainland Rules around Defaults so it will be a 3 - 0 result cannot be any other outcome.
I think you will find that a 3 - 0 result is standard for any default around the country if not the world.
Why not defer game? Mainland has the power to reschedule the nomads game because of cup game. Why not insists it is played at another time. Was Selwyn even asked? Even if not critical for points, bit of courtesy would have been sporting!
