Let me start by saying I am from within the Selwyn camp.
Criticise Padmore all you wish about being naive, at the end of the day he is 26 years old.
Also criticise him tactically, he is a coach who likes to see the game played beautifully and he may need to change that to get out of that league.
But please don't question his will to win or his desire. I for one have been involved with football for a long time and I have never seen a coach so upset and on the verge of tears after a result like that, he wears his heart on his sleeve and loves the club he is at.
I can guarantee if he is allowed to be he will be at Selwyn next year and will make no excuses for any results that occur.
We need to stop pushing these young coaches away that will take our game forwards in years to come, Padmore will have had bigger and better offers to leave the country and yet he has stuck around through thick and thin, why is this?
Support these guys I say!
Taking a few comments from previous posts. Lee is young, he has a desire to win, he is always willing to listen and learn, he has helped Selwyn advance incredibly over last two seasons and has a great crop of young talent to push harder next year, all this done without any paying of players. There are two sides battling to stay in mpl who would love to have him as their coach. Yet funnily enough both sides have either bought survival last year or have offered it to players this year.
