I'm hearing FC beat Selwyn 6 zip in Div 1? Sounds almost too good to be true!! But if so MPL here we come :)
I find it funny how people are starting to think that FC have the league sewn up yet whilst they have it in their own hands so do Nomads!
Next weekends game between the 2 could be an interesting battle. An FC win then yes the league is all but over, a Nomads win and FC will be needing other teams, possibly even Selwyn, to take points off Nomads.
Don't worry Benchie, i'm not counting our chickens just yet but at the end of the day the way we are playing has me supremely confident to be fair. The club is going great, Glen and Boyd are both doing and outstanding job bringing on the youth of both our club and the region as a whole. If we'd lost 6 nil to Sewyn today no way would anyone be questioning either of them or the direction of our club. People may not like FC but because of Glen and Boyds work, we damn well deserve any success that comes our way!
And that in essence is why there has been a swift reaction to the comments about Lee.it is his work primarily that has Selwyn where they are now. From last and basically shark to a side challenging for MPL promotion in 2 years. So we aren't going to question what Lee has done and is doing. We just all need to keep working hard, probably harder next season and try again. I have no idea where Sparepart is from in terms of a club affiliation, but if they are from outside a club and make comments like that then you should have a long think about posts. I know forum blogs are a great place for rumours and shark talking, but comment on people or things if you know what is going on.
If however Sparepart is in the Selwyn setup, then as Lee has said to everyone at the club all along, if you have an issue with him then just toughen up and speak face to face. Anyone, regardless of what you think of them deserves that!
