From an unbiased source at the game. I heard that FC got the lead, then went about parking the bus/lorry/cruise liner for the rest of the game.
But then, I wasn't there, so who knows. Anyone from Coastal with thoughts?
I'm not sure there was anyone there from Coastal, i sure didn't hear them if there was! Whilst my view isn't unbiased obviously, the "parking the bus" call certainly wasn't the case. As Broonie stated earlier, FC played a good brand of attacking football. We scored after 35 seconds and there was only one team likely to score in the rest of the first half and it sure wasn't Coastal. We certainly went off the boil at the beginning of the second half but after Coastal equalised (around the 65th minute) it was all FC from that point on. Admittedly Coastal chasing the game opened space for us to play but i don't believe even the most one-eyed of Coastal supporters would say we were undeserving or that we went about playing overly defensive football to secure the result. Indeed my biggest gripe for our team would have been that we kept trying to score more. We had at least 3 or 4 shots on goal in injury time when we should have been taking the ball to the corner flag and holding it there to secure the result!
