It's interesting the attitude to the qualifying league especially from the MPL clubs that have been there before. Coastal managed to get there despite being a merger of 2 previous National league clubs, Technical got there as a result of them commiting to the future of Canterbury football. The clubs that have been there should respect that this league is there to challenge them to uphold their standards on and off the field. In particular they should be seen to promote the game at all levels, in particular developing junior football.Some obviously don't meet the required standard hence the need for clubs like Selwyn and Waimak to provide that challenge.
