now I know where the loco in locomotive comes from,

So just a wee history lesson ,as you say you don't come to the clubrooms at Garrick, I know your  Messiah has filled you in. Maybe not quite it all.

So your last coach quite frequently would slag us in his speech, he even did in French once. He slagged me, slagged our club, the way we play, he did contradict himself once by saying were crap but should be playing in the a-league in the same sentence. But would need a better coach, I did enjoy that jibe to be fair.

The old, sorry young school, messiah is no angel either when offering an opinion or 3 . Since you have put it in text on a few things, i'll enlighten you. By all means Tech and I are no angels either and yes our mc did have a wee quip, but not in the hanging variety , he was a New Brighton and Rangers man and he got treated badly in his last stint at Coastal Spirit , so he probably had a wee barb back.

So the Mesiah said I had smart remarks, i'll give you a run down of my speech. I've been known to say a few things to refs in the heat of the moment and 99% of the time afterwards i regret it. I've never criticised a ref in a speech, I always thank them like I did on Saturday, I always say good luck to the opposition, which I did. I even slagged myself off a bit by saying that like the Chatham cup final, a few years back, instead of going out to kill the game off like I wanted  the players backed themselves defensively and soaked up the pressure. After all  it is about the players, not about coaches getting in the way of thier feel for a game, on the pitch .I also said that Danny our, 23 year old gk didn't have any clear cut chances to save, mainly due to the outstanding work in front of him. Although he did handle everything including marshalling the lads in front of him superbly

The Messiah did mention one of my players, and said he had a quiet game , like you mentioned above, and he was giving the motm to the player that marked Siggy. I thought Siggy was outstanding and has been a breath of fresh air, for the whole region, he pressed and harassed and won a lot of ball for us to move forward with, maybe as you seem to point out a lot, i see the game completely differently.

He was my motm, it's up to the opposition coach if he wants to talk about opposition players in a negative way publicly, most of the coaches I've came up against would'nt

So if you can confer with the Messiah and let me know what exactly my Smart  remarks were.

You obviously seem to know a lot about Coastal, being so close to a higher being. You also know a lot about Tech, more than I know with a few opinions above. Now nobody knows how much a player Claps is to Tech or Canterbury than I do, not only his ability but his on field leadership his off field leadership and his professionalism, in fact for the life of me I can't understand how he is not still an All White. I will defend the rest of my squad , when you say we are a one man team and whithout him we are rubbish or words to that effect. We are certainly a better team with him, but without him or any player in the team we have proven results to say we do ok. When Ac wasn't playing we were 1 point ahead at the top of the league, and had a good 2-0 & 1-0 victory over our closet rivals , your good selfs and our very good friends and rivals Nelson.

We also won a Chatham Cup without him and won one with him where he was outstanding in the final, so to back my squad we can cope with a player or two being missing no matter how good they are.

If you look at the squad last year  at the experience we lost, Ash Wellborn, Julian Collett, Shawn OBrien, Jeremy Wild and one of Techs greatest ever players Nick Wortelboer. It's a real compliment to say the current crop are the best ever, but again I don't how credible your football nouse is.

You say we are ageing , aren't we all. We will have attrition, but don't we all. Even Coastal have added plenty, eight to 12 players from other clubs this year, and good on you'se, your having a good year and in with a shout for the title. The problem I have with yourself and  some at your club, is you celebrate your success by slagging Tech, as I've said many a time I couldn't give 5 bellies, and I've got some to give, about what you say about me. But I will stand strong and bat for my club and players when you say we are a one man team we are full of has beens, we buy everything that moves and don't promote young players

As for our State side players Ben has been with the squad for 2 years and we will welcome him back next year, Oscar 4 years and we'll welcome him back next year. They show at training and the squad that they are hungry for the team and club and have been loyal to me and the club since they joined us. No different from you guys bolstering your squad with 2 players just recently. It's senior football I think.

When we lost Dan T, very experienced, young Oscar came on and was excellant same as Ben Stroud in the Bays game.

I've nearly finished el Loco, last little bit, and these are guesses because I don't care much for age I care more about performances.

Danny K 23, Tom & Dan S 25, Oscar 19, Gary 25, Jordan 22, Claps 29,Whitey 28, Roddy 19, Barty 24, Liam 27.Sho 18

Ben Stroud 18, Lyle 17, Simon Chretien 17., Jayden 21, Paddy 26, Byron 16, Max 15, Max C 15, Ben Howes 23, Jordan Spain 16

Now the 30 lads

Danny Boys 30,Dan Terris 34,Stu 34, Siggy 35.

These are all the lads that have played for the first team this year if you look at how well ,as you said above ,that these 4 over 30 lads are playing, including the baldy one. Then how good is Claps going to be when he's 34. The twins have been outstanding, another 10 years, I could go on for every one by I've got a sore finger from typing with my one finger. Hopefully a lot of these lads have a higher calling, and hopefully the same at Coastal.

Of course some will move on due to lack of game time like has happened the last 4 years, but the reserves are doing well, have  won the league 4 years in a trot with a young age bracket, and Brando is doing a fantastic job with this bunch. With 4 of them away this weekend with the  NZ football camp. The next generation down have got the perfect role model and mentor to get them to the next step, in Claps.

Just like they do at Coastal, believe or not I have tremendous respect for a lot of good people at your club, and some like yourself I don't. But again I don't know who you are?

And as I have said before I will be one of the first to say well done well played and congratulations when we get beat in a game a cup tie or for the tiltle, by any team.

You said above about you were answering my question , you didn't. Did you manage to get the Megaphone into Garrck?
