Personally I think I am rather uncomfortable with a religious institution getting involved in/taking over a sports club.

What about the Marist Brothers?

Rugby is not a real sport. It's an abomination.

Marist brothers aren't just rugby, there are Marist Football clubs in Wellington, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Napier, Gisborne and probably more around NZ
