It is amazing how many teams have came and gone / merged since the turn of the century, unsure if has been for the better or worst.

Yes when Shamrock merged with Riccarton I can recall someone (jokingly I think) suggested the new name for the club should be Ricrock but they choose Avon United, who later merged with Burnside (formerly Burndale) to become FC Twenty11.
