Think you're getting confused with Mainland plan for club licensing which IMO can only be better for Canterbury football. Think this may result in the clubs who make more of an investment in players , facilities and coaching reaping the rewards. Clubs may have to decide whether they want to be a part of that progression or become a community club. It makes sense that the licensed clubs will eventually attract/ develop the best players and play in the best leagues. I have no doubt that Selwyn will be one of those licensed clubs based on the criteria.
