Played a game in Masters 2 yesterday with some past teammates (who moved up to Masters when they got sick of chasing after 20 year olds!) as my own team's game was postponed.

Played at Kilbirnie and despite what I've read on here about that pitch I didn't think it was too bad. Lot better than expected and coming from a lower grade that usually plays on grass and doesn't often get an artificial, I can't think of a grass pitch in Wellington that would be in a much better state at this stage of the season. Definitely much better than my team's usual home pitches - Karori 2 which looked like it's had pigs living on it last time we played on it a few weeks ago, and Ben Burn which is also a bit of a bog.

I play in goal and there wasn't much grass in the goalmouth but it wasn't a swamp in there like other pitches.
