Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

The Doog!!! Went to the game v Canterbury. A 2-2 draw I think from memory. Those were the days when Wolves were a good team(UEFA cup finalists that year). John Richards, Mike Bailey, Jim McCalliog, and of course Derek Dougan. Ah memories...

3-2 wasn't it? The Doog soaring majestically to nod the winner? (climbing all over P Cameron most probably).

Keith in the Welly team df?

PS think I played in the curtain raiser. might be mistaken.

The main event was Wellington 0 Wolves 6. Wolves attacked straight from the kick-off and hit the cross bar before a Wellington player had touched the ball. I was twelve at the time and seeing those names playing the way they did that day left a lasting impression.

Yep, Keith played that day.

As for curtain raiser - here 'tis.

Due to colour clash wellington played in Stop Out strip.

All Wgtn team from either Stop Out or Wellington City (Miramar/Hungaria composite)

8 NZ internationals in Wgton 13 (Whiting,Barton,Cameron,Jones,Nemet, Boyland,Brand,Bruce). Some controversy about NZFA only allowing 2 subs.

Some familiar names in that curtain raiser (Ruffer!)
