Capital City Futsal is the No.1 futsal provider in the Wellington region. Players and teams are called to come and play the true futsal commencing every Tuesday from 2nd October at the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre, 101 Kilbirnie Cresent.

No registration fee. $35 a player or $245 ( a team of 7) for 6 weeks. Format to be done on confirmation of teams. Register your interest/team to mark.futsal@gmail.com or visit, www.futsal.net.nz

Futsal encourages fair play so the FIFA rules will be adhered to. There will be a strict dress code with each team wearing uniformed shirts, long socks, shin pads and proper footwear.

New Zealand Football has started to take a special interest in futsal with a national tournament to be held in Auckland in November. A national squad will then be selected to compete in the Oceania Futsal World Qualifying tournament in June 08 with the winner earning a direct entry into the FIFA Futsal World Cup Finals to be held in Brazil in November 08.

Come and play the true futsal with Capital City Futsal.

The other day I was playing a game of futsal and the ref said "No professionals", and I said "I'm not a professional" and he said "Well you should be!" Feverish2007-09-20 11:21:02

thanks for your email, CCFWGTN.

I'll join a club but I'm not too sure about the NZ squad trials. Have stuff to sort out, but I'm definitely keen to play at high level again.

Cheers.

Thanks for your interest, NewZealandPower. Obviously to be considered for the NZ squad you need to be over 18 and have a NZ passport. It will demand a lot of time and committment from the player(s) as the OFC qualifiers are in June 08 (no host nation yet) and the World Cup itself is scheduled now for September 08 - should NZ qualify of course!  How you juggle playing outdoor maybe too difficult and will have to commit to one or the other.

Go to the website and sign-up (www.futsal.net.nz)  If you have played at a higher level I certainly welcome you involvement, the more players with the skills and technique to show the lesser skilful players the more enjoyable and educational it will be for everyone.

A "BIG THANK YOU" to all those that have registered for the Capital City Futsal new league competition which commences tomorrow at Kilbirnie Rec Centre. The website should have the first round draw online shortly (www.futsal.net.nz)

Sad to say I did not see a YELLOW FEVER entry. Here was your chance to avenge the 5-0 whitewash from the Civic Square on the Brazilian National Day and to learn some new skills!

Isn't there a federation based tournament in Tauranga on the Weekend of Jan 12-13th? I believe the NZFC draw has been altered so that the weekend is free and NZFC players can play.

We have 8 teams so that's 4 games tonight. Starting from 6;30. By all means come along and have a look and register on the night for next week. I cannot guarantee a full game tonight but some teams may need an extra player(s) In which case bring long socks and SHIN PADS. It's your choice either that or stay home and watch tv!

Thanks for the update on the Beach Soccer. Does anyone know who is in the TW squad. I have seen the fixtures but no squad. I believe they have had a "friendly" vs the Nix squad.

Or go to the pub on the company dime...  and nurse injuries from last night at Newtown.

I'll see if there is enough interest in a side from some acquaintances... as long as you accept we are garbage.

As for TW, keep an eye on the NZFC forum.

A semi-TW side played on Sunday trialling some players, but Auckland and Hawkes Bay squads are out and I think they have to be finalised in the next few days.

Yeah I forgot about the pub but who can afford to drink on a Tuesday night. I'd sooner spend my pennines keeping fit, learning new skills and talking "sh*te" about football/futsal with some mates. Yeah I know you can do all of that in the pub as well!

Thanks for the interest , get along if you can and update on TW
