Question for Olympic.
Maybe those involved in producing it have other things using their time though...
Dairyflat you open some brilliant threads. This one is almost as good as your "Quote of the Week" thread, so many laughs. Anything else you want to get off your chest? It's unhealthy to have so much sand in your vagina.
Educated guess: John Serepisos used to do the fylers but as he is busy with being the Phoenix Marketing Manager / or somthing like that / he has no time to do them.
I think its great that amatuer and semi professional football clubs make an effort to make programs.
I think picking up on little idiosyncrasies is stupid. Just be greatful that small clubs are making a better effort.
2. All Clubs must produce and make available at home matches a
reasonable number of Match Day Programmes of at least 1 x A4
page (including the cover), containing the current team lists . A
copy of each programme must be mailed to The Manager and local
administrator within 5 days following the Clubs fixture. Failure of a
Club to comply with any part of this Regulation will result in a fine of
$250. (Womens League exemption compliance with this
Regulation is encouraged but will not be enforced.)
The home Club shall provide not less than four (4) identically dressed
ball persons who must wear uniforms that do not clash with the
competing teams and match officials colours. These ball persons
must be at least ten (10) years old on the day of the match. Failure to
comply with this requirement, as notified by the Referee to The
Manager, may result in a fine of $50. The Manager may make an
allowance for neutral venues.
There is no max age for ball persons. Been there done that.ok, apart from the poor grammar this makes some interesting reading Pavlos8.
Although the U20s lost, not to many people would have believed that we would only lose 2-0. Furthermore, by all accounts the team didn't play that bad and had some chances towards the end. Do you believe a few more stepovers and flicks may have won us the game?
Secondly, I have nothing against Olympic but does it really matter who plays the best football with the most "flair" ?? at the end of the day its the points on the table that matter. If you play good football the results will come so that puts paid to your argument rather quickly. Take a look at Man United teams of yesteryear.......Steve Bruce, Paul Ince, Gary Pallister, Lee Sharpe - now forgive me for not seeing much flair in there? The Man United of today has Ronaldo and Giggs, who posess oodles of flair, but let me tell you something......Sir Alex would just as gladly take a 1yd toe-poke from Heinze as a 30 yard jinking run with 7 stepovers followed by a chip over the GK by Ronaldo - its the same result isnt it?
Thats my bit.

Sweepa, ur question about Ole. My understanding is that Ole Soccer Academy Inc has a lease somewhere in the region of 15 years from the time they took over the facility. A Maori consortium actually OWNS the building and surrounding pitch but with the money they've pumped into the place, it'd be hard to see Wests movin outta there........be funny if they got kicked out tho......not funny in a hahaha way tho.
