The Rangers Soccer School (of the Glasgow variety), was such a roaring success last year, that we're doing it all again during the Easter holidays, Fraser Park, Lower Hutt.

Open to kids aged 7-19, all abilities.

The event was hugely popular last year, so get in quick to book your spot!

You can find out all the info, including costs, contact details and registration form, on the Lower Hutt City AFC website.

You can also check out the photos from last year's event, and read some of the fantastic testimonials from last year's participants.

Massive big ups to LHCFC and Rangers for this initiative and to the Yellow Fever.

Last night I went to a 2-hour "Coaching for Coaches" session to see the Rangers Soccer School in action - aimed at junior football coaches, where we saw the Rangers coaches go through some exercises with a team and they explained the concepts and variations.

Fantastic to observe these professionals (former players at Rangers) in action and an excellent opportunity to quiz them during a Q&A session after the training.

Many thanks News & Fever for the opportunity to experience this (you do realise you have just supported local football don't you? Shame on you!).

The Rangers Soccer School is having a final training session at Naenae College from 9am - 12 noon this Good Friday followed by a sausage sizzle and award ceremony (at the LHCFC gym in Fraser Park I think). It is open for anyone to come and have a look.

Well worth it for all you budding junior coaches out there (plus you can even have a casual conversation with these footballing Gods* - just like with Auckland City)

*as long as you understand Glaswegian

Well as a coach I could say a lot of rude words with a Scottish accent - it sounds so much more acceptable that way!

The coaches did give the kids some ribbing - not quite old school - more done with humour and in good nature.  I don't think it is something I could attempt with my team.

Just be careful of any parcels in the mail.

Three for me, and two for them.
