A colleague of mine who has worked with him says that "he is a good guy, who has a reputation for being fairly blunt."

As I understand it, he was head of both Highlanders and ORFU for a time, but when they recruited a new head for Highlanders he reverted to just head of ORFU.
 
I am not certain that's fact, but that is my understanding.

How is what Feverish said bagging the guy? If anything I have made that assertion originally based on the recent performance of both the Highlanders and the ORFU which have hardly been stellar over the last few years

was nothing against this dude personally. I just think that it would have been good to have someone from Wgtn footy or a current staff/board member. You mates with this guy then Nightz?
