Should the loser of Central Lge go straight down instead of getting a play-off?

if the team wanting to be promoted cannot prove that they are better than them, why should they go up?

Personally I think the championship playoffs in England should involve the teams placed 3rd to 5th, and the 3rd bottom premier league team. Would give Bolton and Fulham something to play for.

I think for the strength of the league the playoff is probably the right format.

And I disagree wholeheartedly with Frankie, otherwise Ipswich won't be able to take up their regular slot of losing in the playoffs this season. aitkenmike2008-04-11 18:29:48
