Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

If we complain theyll just say, Oh well, deal with it. If you cant pay then your child cant play, he said. My concerns are that the seniors dont pay for registration. They get paid to play so I believe the money we pay to register our children is virtually funding these seniors.

Ouch!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

'then you have to pay for the coaches, which cost $10,000 to $15,000 and we have to pay council to use the grounds'.
Coaches -paid from grant money here in Wellington. Grounds - heavily subsidised by the local councils here. If clubs had to pay these costs in full our subs at junior and senior would be twice maybe three times as high. Maybe even out of reach.

If you try and create a professional enviroment it always costs
Certain sports like football have always been seen as a cheap option, run by volunteers.
If a parent has a talented kid they have to be prepared to go the extra distance
Big clubs in Aussie like Marconi would offer that facility
We even have them sprouting up in NZ now such as Wynrs, Ole Corver etc
These independant soccer schools will set you back an extra $1800 per year plus an overseas trip up to $3000. Thats on top of the club fee.

To be honest it has been happening in other sports and past times for years
Examples swimming clubs, ballet, music lessons. I think a lot of us have been there

We had parents balking at paying $90 this year, while our Men"s and Women"s 1st teams both pay subs.
And there's not a coach in the club on anywhere near $10K.
We run a Center of Achievement programme for talented players throughout the year with teams going to the Kanga Cup out of this (cost to players approx. $600), and a Sporting Futures school for secondary age students as well (free).
Professional is an attitude, not necessarily to do with the money.

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?
