Birko are staying up after winning today 3-0!!! They needed to win
by 2 goals and did so with 2 goals scored in the last 10 mins of
the game. Thrilling game went through all the emotions before we
finally settled it with our 3rd.

Oh...
Cause not only did we have to win, but we had to win by two
clear goals. Coming off recent form that had seen 8-0 and 4-0
defeats over the last fortnight, and a bust-up in the changing
rooms during the 8-0 defeat resulting in us having to turn to
several u19 and reserve players to fill in the gaps.
Scored the 1st 15 mins in but squandered chance after chance,
they started to dominate us hit the bar and cleared off the line,
but we managed to get the 2nd with about 5 mins to go and then
sealed it in injury time with a 2nd penalty.
Great escape when we looked doomed for the 1st division and
doomed to lose alot of our key players.

Hmmmm...
I guess you could say what.. is the Northern Premier League,
the top division comprising of federations 1 through 3. 12 teams
compete home & away to find the winner over the course of a
season. No playoffs, just good ol' top of the league are the
champions.

Sports did go, two go down. Just as well Sports are a bunch of
dirty c**ts 3 sending offs today and may i say Roscoe has put on a
truckload of weight since i last saw him in April.

The 2nd goal came against the run of play because Sports had it over them at that stage.
Dave Raynor should have had an early shower too but thats a different story for a different day.
Roscoe may well be looking like the michellin man, but jesus he pulled off one of the best saves he had no right to make.

@ Wolfben - Yes, Mark Withers, but he didn't score. Zane did
however *cringe*....
@ Quack - Yep that save im sure you're refering to the one in
the 2nd half off that header was brilliant, and met with a stunned
reaction by those around me wondering how the fcuk he managed to
get down to it!! Still, can't say we didn't deserve to score
thrice.

The handball wasn't a penalty. It happened outside the box. Until the other 2 goals came, I think that Sports didn't deserve to lose by 3. 1-0 would have been a fair result cause they made a lot of the play too.
