Smithy, the tournament team is picked by selectors from the organising committee who watch games from the main draw, and discipline doesn't appear to affect the choice as at least one of the players in the tournament team got a red card !!

My mistake.

Some very curious choices then.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

The refs we had in both the Napier and Ellerslie games were terrible. I'd probably say the best ref we had was in the Olympic game.

Some decent refs for sure, but too many young idiots who strive to become the centre of attention and make an arse of themself.

Especially when one of your players got sent of in the Napier game....JOKE

It was. I make no excuse for our defenders retaliation but he was stomped whilst on the ground and nothing was done about that.

Our penalty was dodgy too but as our coach said it was probably the ref trying to even things out, which only really makes things worse in terms of his own performance.

The Ellerslie ref was a funny one. He told one of their players to 'f**k off' as he was getting subbed, then offered out one of our players after the match. He was the youngest ref we had, hence my comment about young refs above.

[QUOTE=kiwigooner49][QUOTE=Jag]I saw the ECB v Waitakere quarter final game and it was interesting, to say the least. Both dugouts roaring abuse at the officials, supporters screaming, players getting sent off.

How many were sent off from both teams?

Think it was one of the Waitak lads that got sent off. The captain, I think.

Yes you are right, I'm not sure why you wrote players. Bays didn't have a player sent all tournament.

I do beg your pardon, kiwigooner. How dare I. Do forgive me. I overlooked the fact that your devotion to defending any criticism of you club, whether real or imagined, would lead you down the pedantry road. Congratulations on your club's exemplary disciplinary record

Not quite stretching to defending the lunatic antics on the sideline, I notice.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

there did seem to be some heated arguments on the main draw side. Meanwhile on the satellite side all the competitors were passing round a spliff and havin a right laff. Everyone will try and get demoted next year.

You didn't pass one to the lino before your last game, did you?
