Pats stand out players - John Carras, Ben Fredrickson, John Brook's did the occasional good thing up front. Midfield was lacking for Pats.

Caras? He played well but some dodgy tackles. Mind you it was happening from both sides throughout the game. It wasn't the right kind of game for brooks, he couldn't run with the ball at his feet very well jus cause of pitch. Freddy played well, deffinately a man of 2 halves. at the end of the first he was about to blow, but in the second was amazingly calm, especially with all the other stuff happening with Hopkins and our defenders. My pick for Pats would have been Sam Becker (spelling right?), he just tried to get the ball down and play, was solid in the siting midfield role and attempted to anchor the midfield.

Good to see a lot of pride and passion from both schools, fighting til the very end. Good luck for the rest of the season Pats

Wellington College #1 is now the far and away winner of the "Worst Pitch in Wellington" competition.

Completely f*cked!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Woo go HIBS, 2-0 over Wel Col in the weekend, just thought I'd throw in some gloating.

As for the pitch it's about to get even more knackered in the weekend, with HIBS 2 vs Wel Col 5 on it, I believe

Always has been.

A game there a few years back, we were a team that generally got dicked, and were playing the top Col team. Had 8 players, and somehow managed to lose only 3-1.

Most of it was due to the ball stopping, and we played 7 behind the ball and just booted it away. Rubbish pitch.

And the other one (can't remember which number) was covered in stones. It held up better, but wasn't nice to play on.

Heard of winning graciously? (scuse spelling) but full credit to HIBS, you guys were the better on teh day, all i can say is look forward to playing you next time, I know we'll be ready for you!

the no3 isn't much better than no1, possibly due to 3 or 4 games being played a saturday on them. Groundsman has worked wonders on the pitch compared to last year but it's still lacking

Only returning the favour I thought. Did his job well in the back, didnt try anything fancy got the ball away to feet most of the time.
