Just noticed on capital footballs site the news that 6 wellington girls made it into the NZ  U20 squad.

but non of them play football here any more and have moved to auckland ect.

it looks like only one girl is from out of auckland or overseas.

so how can women's football in the other areas stay at a high level like central league if the good youth have to leave to get national honours??

the girl from coastal spirit is probably a stand out player to be noticed so i hope she and our six do well but i do think the system needs looking at or football for woman might suffer…..
