I was gonna come along after our game, but having to treck through Mt Vic to first get to the park and then back to the car meant I couldn't be arsed in the end.

Alexandra park - the road was closed for a car-race of some sort, and had to treck down (and back up) from Mt Vic lookout.

The fact I was wearing jandals didn't help.

Alexandra!?

WTF?!

Have we reached new depths of low-quality inaccessible pitches?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Whoops, yeah meant Alexandra - sounds the perfect spot for Fever kick-arounds.

If it is any consolation Awa Kairangi was lovely yesterday.

How's my driving? - Whine here

The joy of playing for the Wharfies.

Any old piece of scrap land will do.

OK, that's a slight exaggeration - the park itself wasn't terrible (a bit uneven, but hey, beggars can't be choosers), it was just a bitch to get to, considering the road was closed and the stewards wouldn't let us walk anywhere near the road, so we pretty much had to go through the bush. Like I said, jandals aren't the ideal sort of footwear for such an exercise.

On the upside, we won 3-1.el grapadura2009-03-16 13:38:55

Clarity here. That was Naenae Masters beat a Stop Out Masters team 3-1. I don't want any misunderstandings OK??
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I think that it is safe to say that with the Season getting started soon and already being into pre-season that the Kick Around's will be put on hold until the season ends.
Sorry boys.
The school season should be starting up soon too, Pre season has already started for schools too. so you will get your fix that way.

And Oska.
Don't complain. Play for WHS.
The first and second teams are already sorted. (Optimistic of you though)
try the Thirds or Fourth team. Or play for your age.

If Oska wasn't such a numpty he'd be playing for a club.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

To roughly quote Oska.
"If I played for the school this year I would play either First or Second 11"

He and his little mates were thinking of playing for Mirimar.

Horrible mis-quote there, I just said I should have trialled, this season looks like it's going to be complete sh*t already.

Not a fan in the change of coaching personal? Or did they put you in the b age group side?

The team I'm going to play in is completely up in the air, WHS football is shambolic
