I framed my plastic club comment in the context of multiple club franchises in the same city. Melbourne fans hated having M Heart, then M City then Western thrust on them. The term plastic franchises is what the fans are calling these clubs. They dont call Victory a plastic club. The A League has to do better in engaging local fans. Its got to be more than just creating another franchise and then tell people to go and support them. Football culture does not work like that.

Sydney FC - plastic
Adelaide - clingfilm
WSW - gaffer tape
Melbourne City - gauze tape
Melbourne V - parcel tape
CCM - cellotape
Brisbane - banana skin
Jets - bandaid
Perf - surgical tape
Macarthur - gum tape
Canberra - invisible tape
Nix - velcro
Auckland FC - silicon XXX
