Now the FFA is hoping to schedule its next grand final as close as
possible to the May 15 cut-off date mandated by world governing body
FIFA for domestic competitions.
Despite running several weeks longer than the one just gone, the
A-League season will start only a week later, on Friday, October 11.
While there will be no international breaks, an occasional week off will
be rotated between the clubs.
The Western Sydney Wanderers have been identified as a potential
prime-time goldmine for SBS, with speculation they could be given as
many as five Friday night matches.
