Isn't that favouring Victory on-field? Hopefully they can pull a huge upset.

Sean Timmins?
Blacktown Coty have qualified for the FFA Cup next season after winning the NPL.
National Premier League Victoria club Hume City, who will host A-League champions Melbourne Victory in a cup semi-final on October 28, are deep in negotiations to sign one of Ronaldinho, Arda Turan, David Trezeguet or Giorgios Karagounis as a guest player.
Please let it be Ronaldinho!
Ugh. Are they really that desperate for people to pay attention to this sham of a competition?

That's what they said about the FA Cup for the first 50 years
Glory v City at 11:30pm tonight, if people want something to help them get to sleep
Glory 2-1 at ht. Interesting half, some shocking defending, comedic own goal and Tando bleeding all over the grass.
Glory 3-1 up with 10mins left, seems the FFA isn't gonna get their Melbourne Derby Cup Final after all
Good one Perth
Humes doing pretty well against Victory.
If it wasn't for a silly penalty it would be nil all

yea thats fair, but if that penmalty had been called earlier in the firts half for hume then it would have at least put them on the back foot.
Seeding based on league position has been removed for the A-League clubs for next season but it still has the rigged draw.
I dislike the way they rig the draw. There's no merit to a small amateur or semi-professional team making the semi-final if one of them has to make it. Make the draw either completely random or seeded, there is no point in having random small teams making the latter stages just to get pummeled by Melbourne City or whoever. If they're trying to imitate the FA Cup where every other year there seem to be upsets even late on, it needs to be natural, not artificial, for it to deserve any merit or have the "magic of the FA Cup".

Western Sydney...
Despite it being a "home" fixture, are we still not allowed to play at Westpac?

I still have zero interest in this competition with its current format.
I'd kind of understand playing our home game in Australia if it were against an Local side, but considering we are against an A league side, we should be able to play our home game at home.

Also why do we always get the A-League sides? If we made a good go at it I'm sure we'd all get behind it.
I reckon it would be kinda cool actually having an Aussie club side outside of the A League come over for a game at Westpac.
it would be. But it'd also be impractical. Cost, players not having passports etc. I understand them not coming to NZ.

All they have to do is go to Christmas Island and get a free deportation back to NZ. Seems like the new craze over there.
