The battle of the most underdone sides in the League.
Can tell you now, the quality hasn't come on in leaps and bounds in this second half either.
Tuned in to see Keegan Jelacic get a chance, and he's not even in the squad 🤦♂️
I bet they still had the pre match sprinklers going as per normal.
YoungHe.\rt Unless Austin comes to the party and gets goals it could be a tough season for Roar. McBreen isn't much of a comments man but he was dead right when he noted that Austin missed a tap in by ball watching and failing to make a run centrally.
About as one sided as you'll see.
No intent from Brisbane, no press and sitting deep in a 4-5-1, yet still getting picked apart even though they're trying to limit space. Very hard to see what there game plan is to be honest. Playing at home, yet not even offering a threat on the counter.
They'll be lucky if it doesn't end up a 4-5 goal whipping.
RR It's a real shame, not to mention genuinely baffling that Steinmann is frittering away his career like this. I would love to know exactly what the story is between him and management that is keeping a player of his proven quality out of the picture.

Honestly expected him to get mutual in the off season. Maybe he is happy getting paid to train and surf? Not sure why but he doesn't seem to fit how the Roar play.

Nearest good surf is an hour from Brissy. They have an okay Oktoberfest though
kwlap
He certainly should have. Just dragged down the Glory attacker, blatantly. Why no yellow?!
0-0 at half time in a horrible, foul littered WSW v Perth match up.

A Krpic header seals a dour win for WSW, although he had a late pen saved by Reddy.
Perth failed to register a shot until the 95th minute. Unless Fornaroli magically winds back the years it's hard to see where their goals are going to come from this season.

Nabbout puts City ahead, 0-1
Talbot wins a soft penalty, J-Mac converts. 0-2
J Mac from the penalty spot.
2-0 City.
Brisbane look absolutely terrible.

Thought that pen was harsh in real time but second look shows the ref was spot on. City doing it easy.

Chapman playing Steinmann back into contention for a spot in the match day squad?

Straight red for Gomulka. That will help the Roar.

Roar's defence looked poor. Austin must be wondering what he's doing there.

Here's how we're lining up to take on the Jets...

Hope McGarry excels in this Jets system, he can be really good going forward.
That's actually a pretty decent Jets attack. Very interesting to see how they shape up.
McGarry close with a 25m shot
Shadow aside, this is an entertaining watch. Both teams playing with a fast, attacking tempo. Just missing some moments of quality to threaten the scoreboard.
Elsey scores header to put Jets in front
McGarry switches play, finds Jenkinson whose cross meets Elsey's header. 1-0
That's incredibly sloppy from Perth, especially Lachman. Elsey had all the time and space in the world to pot the header.
What a stupid red card for Elsey!
Nasty by Elsey & the Jets are down to 10 men. 1-0
From hero to zero. Elsey sent off.
and a penalty as well!
VAR says pen, Glory converts. 1-1
Sotirio sets up Beka to win it in the last minute. 2-1
Nice work Jaush!
Looks weird seeing sotirio in gold
Beka should have been given a 2nd yellow at the end of that game.

Nani misses a great chance. 0-0
Going to be very interesting to see what the judiciary give the red cards this week.
Missed the first 20 but WSW have looked good so far. Great run up the park by Mrcela to make and score the goal.
Almost like Rojas was quite a good player! Very uninspired performance from Victory.
Lol, Izzo managed to get to the other box to pick up a yellow.
That WSW performance making some predictions look silly.
Yenggi looked very good.
Surely Victory will improve from here?!
