Glory eliminated from the Finals after a 1-1 draw with Sydney. Sounds like they dominated against a 10 men Sydney side but couldn't convert their chances.

Good result for the Nix, though yes a Glory win would have been slightly better.

But SFC (4th, 35 pts) only getting a point means realistically only the VUC (3rd, 38 pts), can grab a top 2 place (and week off) from CCM (43 pts) or Nix (46 pts, 11 pts ahead of SFC). That's with all teams having played 23 games, with 4 more each to play.

MAC (also on 35 pts) & SFC would both need to win minimum 3 their last 4 games, and hope either CCM or the Nix imploded. They'd need to win all 4 to overtake the Nix.

And yes as I've mentioned before the Mariners will be fixated as much on being the top Australian team (AFC Elite Champions League, so only 2nd to the Nix if Nix are 1st) - as finishing top.

Be great to beat the VUC at the ROF next weekend, to hopefully crush their hopes of a top 2 finish. Maybe Mariners can then do us a favour and let us finish first!

I mean they can't host the GF anyway, if they are 1st and make the GF. That happens it will be in Sydney not Gosford. Meh yet another GF in Sidney.
